What is Operation Dough-Nation? Operation Dough-Nation (ODN) began in 1992 to formalize our commitment to community involvement. Since then, it has grown to include three major activities: Community Breadbox™ cash collection boxes, the Day-End Dough-Nation™ program and community donations.
Three Key Components make up ODN:
- Collection Boxes
- In 2011, Central Ohio Bakery Cafes collected funds for the Stefanie Spielman Fund
- Day End Donation
- In 2011, Covelli Enterprises donated 13 million dollars back to local community outreach programs through the donation of unsold bakery products to local food banks, soup kitchens and shelter housing.
- Community Donations
- Panera Bread donates to a variety of local community programs including runs, fundraisers and charitable events throughout our communities.
